It was almost an open secret but lacked official company confirmation and luckily has come. Samsung today announced that the Galaxy Mini S4 will go on sale shortly after the release of the Galaxy S4.
In an extensive report from Bloomberg, the Korean company has confirmed that the Galaxy S4 Mini will be put on sale shortly after the arrival of the S4. Specifically, Samsung said:
The Galaxy S4 will not come until late April. It’s fast, has a large, bright screen, and probably will be another great success for Samsung, like the S4 Mini will go on sale shortly after.
Thus, the company is confident to match and even surpass the huge success of last year with the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy S3 Mini, two of the main culprits that 2012 has been a year of record sales and earnings for the Koreans.
It is expected that the S4 Mini reaches Europe in June and incorporates a screen 4.3-inch AMOLED qHD, quad-core processor, 8 megapixel camera with autofocus, flash LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus and face detection, 8 / 16/32 GB of internal storage (expandable to 32 GB with micro SD card) and Android 4.2.2 with Jelly Bean Nature TouchWix interface UX 2.0.
Still missing confirming its price but in principle I think it is an excellent choice, especially for those who do not want to spend that much money on a smartphone or prefer screen devices somewhat smaller.
