The official Skype application for Android just received an update that incorporates as main novelty the possibility of choosing the classic user interface for tablets.

Skype has been updated and brings some new features that will appeal especially tablet users because now may choose the classic interface instead of the new and revamped interface for tablets. Recall that the previous update had incorporated several new features and a new interface for large-screen devices. Well now, Skype seems to be backtracking by allowing users of tablet to return to a UI phone style if they prefer. The new option is probably the best if you are on a smaller screen like the Nexus 7 which is often used in portrait mode. By contrast, users of 10-inch tablets will be more comfortable with the new interface for these devices.

In addition, this update includes performance improvements and fixes some errors and bugs. As always, Skype can be downloaded for free from Google Play.
