Since its inception, we have associated the image of the green little robot to the Android the operating system, but its beginnings date back long before the release of Android 1.0 in September 2008.

Today as evidence of that pre-historic stage Dan Morrill, one of Google’s engineers as part of the Android development team, has just showed a picture of the first pet that personified this OS.

This never came to light, but it was the way Android was identified by the year 2007, before it was officially unveiled on November 5.

The creator of this pet distasteful, was Dan himself, who says that was conceived during a few hours of rest after hard working hours.

Although never officially used, the first Android pet dubbed Dandroid, took popularity within the development team for a small period of time, until the designer Irina Blok presented its proposals.
