For some time we have been talking about the Xperia Yuga, the next Sony flagship that will likely become one of the best devices of 2013 thanks to its powerful features and dimensions.
Sony Xperia Z: Features
Apparently this device will be released under the name of Sony Xperia Z and inside will be equipped with a processor Snapdragon S4 quad-core, 2 GB of RAM, Adreno 320 GPU, 32GB of internal memory (expandable with microSD), camera of 13 or 16 megapixel Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and a battery of 2500 mAh or 2800.
Among its features, the now called Sony Xperia Z, will come with a FullHD 1080p screen 5-inch White Magic RGB technology and will have a size of 139 x 71 x 7.9 mm with a weight of 140 grams weigh.
Sony Xperia Z: protection against water and dust
According to the guys at XDA, which leaked the information about the change of name, the Xperia Z will come with protection against dust and water IP55 and IP57, similar to the Xperia S and Xperia acro V.
- The income protection, after its initials in English IP, is a qualification that describes the protection that an accessory has against the intrusion of solid and liquid material.
- The IP number is followed by two numbers, the first refers to the penetration of solids (1-6) and the second refers to the penetration of liquids (1-8).
The same source also claimed that the Sony Xperia Z will include in its 5-inch screen OptiContrast technology, commonly found in Sony TVs.
This provides much sharper images and more vivid colors thanks to the low degree of reflection of external light that produces the resin layer covering the panel and absorbs any stray light.
