Today were leaked the possible specs of Sony’s big bet for next year. This is the Xperia Yuga, a 5-inch device that would incorporate a Exynos 5 Quad processor, 3GB RAM and 128GB of internal memory that would be presented at CES 2013.
Two of the most anticipated Sony devices in 2013 are the Xperia Yuga and Xperia Odin, which adds to Xperia 4, Xperia 5 and Xperia 6 we spoke a few days ago. As time goes by there are new rumors about these devices and one thing seems clear: Sony is developing real beasts for next year.
A few days ago I talked about a super Android with 3 GB of RAM and 16-megapixel camera, and it seems that the Xperia Yuga won´t be left behind in terms of specifications. As reported by the Chinese blog IT168, this smartphone will feature an OLED 5-inch Full HD screen, Samsung Exynos 5 Quad processor quad core, 3GB RAM, 128 GB internal memory, 16-megapixel rear camera and 3000 mAh battery, and will also be waterproof and dustproof and will come with IR blaster.
Also, apparently the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, which would have a 6.3-inch screen and would be presented at the end of next year as I mentioned yesterday, would use the same processor Exynos 5 Quad.
The Chinese site claims that the Xperia Yuga would be the “surprise” of CES 2013 to be held in Las Vegas between 8 and 11 January next year, but I see it very unlikely. I do not think Samsung would launch later this year one of the most important devices with the same processor as a smartphone launched nine or 10 months ago, so two things can happen: either the Xperia Yuga will not incorporate that processor or will not be presented in CES 2013.
Remains to be seen what happens but either way, it seems that Sony is preparing real beasts for 2013.
