Since its launch exclusively on Verizon in the U.S., the HTC Droid DNA quickly caught the attention of the Android community and since then rumors have been spinning around the launch of an international version.
Baptized as HTC Butterfly, the expected device model, has just been officially introduced by Taiwanese and is now available on its official website.
What strikes us is the lack of an event or advertising campaign to accompany the launch of a much awaited device by user, which may become the new flagship of HTC.
HTC Butterfly : GREAT screen
Without doubt the feature that has thrown this device to fame is its touch screen. This is a SuperLCD 3 panel protected by famous crystal Gorilla Glass 2 having a size of 5 inches and a Full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080, which gives an amazing 441 ppi.
Thus the HTC Butterfly becomes the largest smartphone in the world, treading thus the limit that defines phablets as the Galaxy Note 2.
HTC Butterfly vs HTC Droid DNA
As we can see from the picture the similarities between the two devices is irrefutable, since they have the same design and user interface. The same goes for their characteristics as that only differ by 4G network support that has the HTC Droid DNA.
HTC Butterfly : interesting specs
Like the Droid DNA the Butterfly has a quad-core Qualcomm processor at 1.5GHz, Adreno GPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, NFC, 2.020mAh battery, microSD card slot, a 2.1-megapixel front camera and an 8-megapixel rear.
