Samsung seemed to have forgotten some of the models from the first generation of tablets. This is the case of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 that until now were running the outdated version of Android 3.2 Honeycomb.

Although at this point is a little (lot) late, and it is likely that your users have this tablet in the closet, Samsung has decided to launch the Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Wi-Fi model of the device.

The update known as DXLP7 will arrive for the Galaxy Tab GT Wi-Fi-P7310 from Malaysia via OTA and Samsung Kies. You can also download the firmware and apply the update manually with ODIN downloading it from here.
