The Samsung Galaxy S3 is one of the favorite smartphones within the Android community and proof of it are the more than 30 million units sold since May. Therefore, developers are constantly cooking new ROMs for this device. We had already begun to see some ROMs CyanogenMod 10 (CM10) based on Android 4.1 and now we have news with ROMs with Android 4.2.

Recently, the Cyanogen team had reported that had already put to work to develop CyanogenMod 10.1 with Android 4.2 and today we have some new developments. The developer codeworkx has managed to develop the first ROM CM10.1 for the Galaxy S3, although it is not usable. The ROM has big problems with hwcomposer, which is responsible for graphics rendering, and is causing inconveniences to the screen once it turns off with the phone locked, you can not turn it on again, which makes it unusable (unless you keep the screen on all the time).

Samsung said that the Galaxy S3 will update to Android 4.2 in early 2013. What do you think we will see first? A CM10.1 ROM or the official update?
