Yesterday was presented a new Android update for the Nexus 7. Although this is a minor update, it includes some interesting new changes and we will tell you below.

Unfortunately this is not the Android version of Key Lime Pie in which we expect major changes and developments, the issue version is 4.1.2 of Android Jelly Bean.

This compilation dubbed JZO54K, is already in AOSP servers and has already begun to reach Google Nexus 7.

What’s new in Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean

  • Native Mode of horizontal screen in Home
  • Hardware Performance Improvements
  • General stability improvements
  • Bug fixes and minor errors
  • Deployment of the notification bar with one finger

As we can see, this is a minor version with some changes aimed at improved performance and stability, but Jean-Baptiste Queru, Google engineer commented that a small change in the future hardware will make Android 4.1.1 devices not compatible.

Is Jean-Baptiste talking about the next Nexus?
