During the fall of Palm in the world of smartphones, Google took the opportunity to sign up the one who was responsible for the user experience of the company, Matias Duarte. He currently works as director of Android user experience. Since his arrival he began to notice changes in the Android interface, which would begin in the version 2.3 (Gingerbread) and we would notice further from version 3.0 (Honeycomb).

The arrival of Matias Duarte on Android, has managed to greatly strengthen the user experience, to become what we have right now in Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean. His work in Android has made Matias Duarte recently been recognized as one of the top 50 of the designers who shape the future by “Fast Company”.

Matias Duarte has responded on his Google+ account to a comment criticizing some Android design inconsistencies. In that comment indicated that the work done in Android is only a third of what the end goal is.

No doubt, especially since Ice Cream Sandwich, we’ve seen an OS with magnificent interface and a user experience. Jelly Bean even better. This makes us look forward to the next version of Android, which is rumored to be called Key Lime Pie.
