T-Mobile has launched today, the official update to Android Ice Cream Sandwich for Samsung Galaxy S2.

This update has been waited for a long time by the users of operator users, who initially had doubts of its release. Fortunately, the ICS Android firmware for Galaxy S2 will be available starting tonight from T-Mobile and Samsung at 11 PM EST / 8 PM PST.

Despite the fact that is not be available via OTA, you could connect the device to the PC and get it update via Samsung Kies software.

Instructions

  • Download Samsung Kies (here)
  • Install and open Kies on PC
  • Enable USB debugging on phone in settings > menu > apps > development
  • Connect phone via USB
  • Click and accept the update
  • Ready

The application of the new firmware should not delete any data, but, as a precaution, you should make a backup of phone data and micro-SD card.
