The famous Swype keyboard application has just received a major update which brings large improvements in word prediction and a new 4 in 1 input method thanks to the technology XT9 by Nuance.
One of the main improvements Swype users were waiting for was the appearance of text prediction. Swype has heard the feedback from its users and in this new version is one of the areas where further improvements are observed. Swype names it “Word Prediction”, a new feature that guesses the word you will enter based on their historical use.
Has also been incorporated a voice-to-text dictionary that basically adds each new word that a user types into your personal dictionary. Swype can also use this new technology in their texts and emails to get a better understanding of how to write.
Besides the new Swype prediction technology, the other big news is the 4 in 1 new input method. Now, users can write to each key individually, click on the dictation voice input NuanceDragon button, or simply draw single characters on your keyboard. No matter what input method you choose, Swype will learn how to speak through Nuance’s XT9 technology.
No doubt a great upgrade for all fans of this famous keyboard.
